El Paso

We took our boys on a weekend get away to El Paso, TX to visit our friends the McGrath's. We loved their amazing carne asados, running in their neighborhood, swimming and remembering what it was like to live there. It's a great little city! Taco Tote was awesome. Jared did a great job reading to the boys and tucking them all in after a long drive home.

End of school

Isaac woke up one day begging for Jennie and for a Jack 'n the Box hamburger. It was funny at first, but then the tears came and he even went to a corner to cry it out b/c he wanted it so bad! Jennie was a good sport and showed up after school to take him on his date. They had bonded when he was only 2 years old  several times when she would watch him during my school days.  Wesley and Austin finished out the school year with straight A's (Principal's list for Wesley all year long) and great comments. Proud of them.

Rock 'N Glow 5k

Wesley wanted to run a race this year, so we had the perfect opportunity! A "Rock 'N Glow" 5k with our friends Amanda/Trinity Taylor and Emily Leavitt. I thought for sure Wes would have to stop and walk a few times, but he really impressed me with his endurance. We had run a few practice "jogs" before school, but every time he had to stop and complain about side aches, etc. The music kept us pumping and he really has a competitive drive with wanting to finish before everyone else. At the end, he and I full on sprinted the last few blocks. I really tried my hardest to push ahead, but he stayed right there with me! We are still debating on who finished first :)

Levi's expressions

Every soon to be two-year-old has crazy expressions. I love getting them on camera! If only you could hear his moans and screams and laughter that go along with them. His latest words/phrases: wesee, isic, ausin, watch me, shoes please, water mom, don't want to. He is a little parrot with his speech and actions, following his brothers around the house and doing whatever they do! It helps me a lot to try to get things done.

Mother's Day

I love Mother's Day. I love waiting in my bed, reading alone and listening to the ruckus downstairs as the boys make me breakfast. This time it only took 3 hours, but it was super meaningful. Jared went on line and found me a "glutten free" pancake recipe for my Whole 30 detox I had started. That just melted my heart to think about how much time and effort he put into that. The boys made me sweet cards that brought tears to my eyes, especially as they read me a book about boys that grow up. I feel so blessed to have these little gentlemen in my life.  I even got to play my piano as Jared cleaned up breakfast!
