Ruby 6 months

Ms Ruby girl is very active at 6 months! She loves her 3 jars of baby food a day plus snacks! Everything has to go into her mouth! If someone is eating nearby, she will start to grunt and lick her lips, waiting for her turn. She loves to sit in her high chair and eat kix or cheerios while waiting for mom to feed her. She will scoot up alongside us at the dinner table and fully participate in conversations with his noises and smiles and happiness. We all love to hold hands for the prayer, and her little hands are the sweetest things! She loves playing with her friends at the gym and church, often calming down when I sit her down alongside them (versus squawking during sacrament meeting where the boys fight to hold her, or I am spoon feeding her yogurt). She and I went through her 6-9 month clothing and found such great outfits! AT 16 lbs she is still very petite, but growing quickly and I am sad she won't be able to wear all her clothing! How fun to accessorize with my daughter! I love to paint her toes while she sleeps and she even lets me trim her fingernails still.

End of Summer

Somehow we survived another melting summer month here in AZ. August will be just as hot, but at least the boys get to go to school and cool off with friends! Wesley loves to make his banana bread, and sometimes even lets his brothers help, Isaac loves to lick the bowl. Austin stayed busy playing dress up/cowboy with his brothers and discovered duct tape projects. Little boys took baths with Ruby, who now loves to eat all foods and makes huge messes. The Elders are usually over once a month for food, and we enjoy hearing about their stories. I helped be a make up model for a night and had some crazy tears coming down my face! We surprised Jared at work with a picnic, all shoved into his office and made a mess! I am also introducing paleo foods to the family, prepping them with healthy school lunch ideas and making efforts to have less processed/sugar foods. Austin and Wes are going strong with their sugar fasts, so we are headed in the right direction.
Spent a day going bowling with friends, which was really delightful (a/c, cheap and different!). I took each boy on several "mommy dates" before school started too; Wal Mart, Chipotle, Peter Piper, Fry's bakery, Redbox/popcorn/foot massage indoors, or just the car wash. We continued with lego building, piano lessons (those were challenging!), swim dates, boys wrestling over Ruby and just getting through the hot days hour by hour.
