We survived June

115 degree misery....so hot...not much to do except swim, have popsicles and picnics, Wesley and Jaden Molina did a baseball camp (early am), entertain ourselves with Pandora music, eat breakfast (Austin and Isaac are buddies when they eat their toast, water and yogurt together...this time "bebe" was invited to sit in the high chair), do chores together, and go to the summer movies.

Toddler and Tummy

At 4 weeks left of this pregnancy, I am feeling very physically wiped out...that and the 114 degree heat. I go from wearing my workout clothes in the am, directly to a swimsuit...just to stay cooler as the hours creep by. In my mind I can still see a waistline if I look from the front view in my spandex....then wa-bam! Big 'ol belly on the side.

I am mentally all here, wanting to get things accomplished and stay organized, but my body screams at me to STOP! Especially at nighttime, after 7pm, when the heartburn kicks in and my feet are hot and pounding from standing up and cooking dinner. I roll back and forth during the night, rotating which side gets to hold the big belly...and then wake up with lower back pain from the heaviness of it all.

My morning routine: kids are up, get them to make their beds. They rotate unloading the dishwasher (which I then load right back up with breakfast dishes). They get bored and ask me if they can watch cartoons...nope! Too early at 7:30am to be bored! Have boys give Wrangler some fresh food and empty out the cockroaches in his water dish (gross!) anddo any extra chores that I can't do; take out trash, empty out recycle box, wash down outdoor window, load up the washer/dryer/take clothing to my bed, pick up Isaac's fallen cereal off of the floor (so I don't have to haul out the vacuum), and perhaps even strip their sheets to wash.

Lots to do every morning now that I am home full time and recognize all that I want to stay clean and organized! This all happens usually by 8am....in between yells from Isaac, complaining, boredom, more complaining and once in a while they entertain themselves :) Right now Austin is building Lego's, Isaac is sitting beside him at the island playing with puzzles and Wesley is coloring. Hallelujah for 5 min!

Isaac goes in for his ENT tonsil/abenoid/ tubes put in ear surgery tomorrow morning at 5:00 am! He of course can't eat or drink, which is going to be very hard on my sweet little boy b/c his first words everyday are "EAT!" Wesley and Austin are fasting this morning (breakfast only) to show their support and faith that the surgery and recovery will go well. Good brothers (even if they are thirsty and hungry and I am beginning to see those effects!) Jared took the day off, so he will go into the hospital with us and the boys will spend the night/day with the Ashton's.

I really hope that this helps with his screaming and lack of talking. It's frustrating for him and I can only imagine how limited he is with his hearing and comfort level! I really hope he will recover quickly; drink plenty and rest well. We have to stay OVERNIGHT in the hospital. I wonder how that will go? 9 month prego mama and a toddler in a hospital room? Yikes! Going to be a long day and night...hopefully he will be just relaxed and not too bored in that room! Me too!

Thoughts on pregnancy: so excited to meet Levi Ross Wilson. Really excited for my upcoming baby shower to think of all the fun gifts and warm wishes that will be sent for my baby. I can't wait to see what he looks like and finally have him in my arms. Life is easier with the baby INSIDE, as far as toting him around and having to care for him. But, I am very ready and willing to do what I need to do to feed, comfort and LOVE on him! This pregnancy has been my best one so far. I contribute it to exercising 3-4 x's a week, eating healthy and small portions, and just not having any time to complain! lol. I have also gained LESS (for now) weight. Wa-hoo!

Father's Day

What a good looking husband I have.
I feel like I dropped the ball this Father's Day. We had just had company for a week, transitioning with a new house guest and still hostessing others. I was obsessed with getting THIS blog book done, and before I knew it...it was Father's Day morning and I hadn't prepared breakfast in bed for my honey :(

The boys made some cute cards, we cooked up some biscuits, Austin did his typical breakfast (yogurt, banana, toast with peanut butter), and that was about it. No fun presents. No singing. Just low key and with love.

At least we made it to church on time and all my boys looked so handsome! Here's my 33 week bump.

J: Just my best friend
A: Athletic; at the gym, on the court, in the fields, wrestling, mowing lawn, killing pigeons
R: Respectful of everyone; never judges, thinks the best of people and is loyal
E: Even-killed personality; very consistent and reliable
D: Delicious cook; on the grill, chiliquiles, spaghetti, or licuados

Vegas for a day

Jared had a business trip to Vegas, so we quickly found sitters for the three boys and headed out to Vegas for the night. The 5 hour trip was really hard on my back and swollen feet...definitely NO MORE ROAD trips for this mama for a while. Jared and I enjoyed our time together just chit chatting (not even music was played) and talking about life...with no distractions from our boys!

We were able to go to the Las Vegas temple that night and I was very HOT during the session. Sweet sisters were offering me tissues and aisle seats to be more comfortable. We then went to the Osaka Japanese Bistro for dinner. Yummy egg rolls and noodles...and a fun environment where you take your shoes off and are served on top of mats.

I spent the majority of the time working on THIS blog book, undisturbed :) Jared did his thing with appointments and meeting clients. I was content just to be in the Golden Nuggett hotel and staying cool. We finished off our getaway at Burlington Coat Factory (2 hours) where Jared and I shopped for Levi's car seat and Jared tried on every pair of men's shoes available. Laffy Taffy and Ginger Ale helped with my nausea and heartburn I got from sitting so long.

We got home to a house full of family, all sweating away in the 85 degree temp inside and watching a movie! Silly folks!

How nice to spend some time with my honey, one last thing to enjoy before baby comes!

Wilson Family Vacation

With Jared's work schedule, baby coming soon and my traveling conditions limited....we took a family vacation the day school got out and headed to California!

Thank goodness for the portable DVD player that we invested in. Even though Scooby Doo, Alvin, Teenage Mutant Turtles and Superheroes drive me crazy, it's better than listening to the arguments and pure boredom that breaks loose between the boys. Enough said.

Our travel went smoothly, with a trip to Subway and the grocery store to get some food for the weekend. We stayed with Tino and Tatia Metzger, our friends of a few years from DirectBuy. Jared used to stay with them back and forth when he commuted from Burbank,CA to Surprise, AZ. They were very kind to have our family there and we did what we could to be low key.

Day #1: The beach!
We hit the local Ralph's to get stocked up on lunch supplies; tortillas, meat, chips, fruit, etc. The beach was only 25 min. away, next to an airport. We got to see the huge airliners take flight...boy were they LOUD and awesome.

We came well prepared with camping chairs, towels, ice chests (no ice needed b/c it was cold) and beach toys. It's like camping but with water and sun. So much preparation!
The boys were great helpers.

It was not crowded, especially for a Saturday. Just fantastic.

Tino and Tatia staying out of the sun.
The first touches of sand were fun for all of us...super cool and wet.

This is as close to the water that Isaac got. It was FREEZING.

Notice the bellies: big, smaller, "4 pack" (as Wesley calls it).

Salty....brrr....
Then the little crabs were discovered....

They were disgusting, like cockroaches.
Isaac agreed!
I stayed dry and full clothed.

Time to start burying them alive!

What a cute picture...Isaac was NOT happy about it.

Sand, sand and more sand.

After the beach, we went to Jared's favorite Greek Cafe. He was dissapointed in the new menu and lack of flavor that he remembered from a year ago. Oh well.
Showering off that sand and sunburn. This face is hilarious!
I love that Jared can shower with all the boys while I just prep with towels and undies.
With only a base tan and 15 SPF sunscreen, we all got pretty red. I felt terrible as a mom! The boys didn't complain and I slathered on the aloe vera.
Day #2 "More than Waffles." A local restaurant dedicated to breakfast, we wanted to try it out! The boys enjoyed the fountain nearby as we waited for seats. We explained the whole "Make a wish" idea and they thought it was pretty cool. Austin wished to be an Army man. Wesley wished to be a Boxer. Isaac just tossed his in and touched the water.
Just call me Racoon with a farmer tan. I enjoyed a vegetarian omelet (salt!!!) and Austin loves bacon and whipped cream (not together).
Wesley dug into his blueberry waffles, an adult portion of course.
After breakfast, we hit up the California Science Museum. I wanted to go somewhere fun, but inexpensive and indoors (since we needed to recover from our sunburns). We did Disney and Legoland a few years ago, and we have no real desire to return still!

We found free parking along the street in LA (b/c it was Sunday) and the admission was FREE, just paid for our cool IMAX.
The IMAX was called, "Born in the Wild." Elephants and Orangatuns that were rescued as orphans and then raised by nursery's to go back into the wild. Great stories and pictures. Isaac didn't put on his glasses, not sure how he lasted the whole movie.

Running around was a favorite.
This shows the heat within a human body. Can you find each person?
The boys played with the tops, and Wesley of course was very competitive with those around him.

After a full day at the museum, we hit up Lala's, an Argentina restaurant. DELICIOSO. The boys got impatient (Isaac had an embarrassing meltdown), while waiting for food.
Well worth the wait, the grease and calories digested. Milanesa Napolitana, papas fritas, empanadas, pure de papas, limon, etc. If only I could eat like this EVERYDAY.

A cute shot on the walk back to the car.
Day #3
Last day before heading back to reality. We hit up the beach one last time. Jared was so good about changing nasty diapers...Isaac just chilled in the sand.
Isaac stayed away from the water this time around, just enjoying the sand and sun.
We knew better than to get the trunks wet this time around...it was only 65 degrees, but the boys still dug into the sand and got their feet wet.

I stayed fully dressed again and snuggled my sweet baby b/c it was chilly!
When we got back, we all were FRUIT and VEGGIE deprived from eating out so much! So, I went a little crazy at Sprouts, and Wesley put together a beautiful ensemble of fruit :) We do love to eat healthy.

Happy Vacation boys! So glad we could share the weekend together as a family :)
