Utah with Abu

While Abu was in town, she was great about taking pics of the grandkids. We especially enjoyed our trip to the Payson temple. SO fun to see little Ruby get excited to see Moroni on top "bemple." She treated all the boys on double dates for ice cream or to the Bean Museum. We also took a little hike up to Cecret Lake where she was cold and had to wear Ruby's blankie. That was cute. Her time here is always so short, but sweet and appreciated. I hope Oscar gets healthier soon so that she can travel more freely (with him).

13 years of fun and adventures

Happy 13 years to Jared and I. Jared was a sweetheart and surprised me with flowers, a twix, a letter and of yummy dinner. I was NOT feeling amazing ("I don't feel good" is my every hour complaint), so I wasn't able to do anything for him but lay like a slug on the couch. I even got a nap, and so did Jared as the kids run a muck. We have created a beautiful family, with children who care about us and are overall pretty happy. My world is my family. Jared is my wonderful husband during this mortal life and I look forward to many more years here on earth with him.

August random

Random August events. With my pregnancy well under way, the cravings (and prego pukes) are my everyday battle. Hot dog on a stick, lemonade, cheesy fries...just to name a few. I also got hired on as a Fitness Instructor at the Provo Rec Center. Not sure how many classes I will be able to teach with a growing belly, but I am SO grateful for my membership and plan on jumping in as soon as I have the opportunity. The boys now have grass to mow, leaves to blow and edges to trim...so, these new Saturday chores are COOL! Austin (and soon Wes) has even started making money from our neighbor for mowing their lawns. So grateful for their work ethic and that they are willing to help keep this house (and now yard) clean, especially b/c Jared is not around to now help with landscaping. But, Jared IS around to workout with his boys! Most mornings they can be found running laps around the church building, stretching, doing push ups, box jumps and then rushing to get ready for school on time. We took them for FHE to the Rec Center for a swim time indoors, and they loved going down the slides with each other (and dad) and scaling the rock wall. I stayed with Levi and Ruby back in the kiddie section. We also enjoyed a quick visit from Grandma Di Kaivo. She is just awesome and full of love for our kids.

Ruby girl 19 months

My baby girl is having so much personality and showing her interests; shoes, "cute!" talking on the phone, eating snacks all day, having meltdowns and of course trying to keep up with her brothers. She and Isaac had similar owies (scab siblings) one morning, so that was kinda cute. Isaac had slipped off a pool step and Ruby fell directly onto the cement from a curb. She loves to pick shoes out of closets or baskets and walk around in them, wearing a huge smile. We also have to take off her shirt every time she eats b/c she makes a huge mess. This picture shows her eating like a homeless girl at a restaurant, no shirt, messy hair...digging into the salsa!  I love watching her and Levi hold hands walking to the Rec Center, and I LOVE those black and white leggings! Sometimes she is too tired and just asks for her "dinkie" so that she can nap, even in her high chair. She is spoiled with so much love from all of us.
