After hours of searching, stressing, feeling overwhelmed and HOMELESS...we found our cute little Ivy home in downtown historic Provo. We spent Saturday mostly at a park feeding our kids Little Cesar's and trying not to freak out too much, the fact that we had all of our belongings in a parking lot with nowhere to go..and my prego self just needing a cave to crawl into to die. All of the rental properties had property management groups, so they weren't even open on Saturdays! We finally found Sarah Tanner, who answered our text to show us this home, with no pics even attached. We headed over (it was somewhere to be indoors!), met a really nice neighbor Jenn Platt (who offered up her home to us and I graciously accepted) with a huge heart, and we were able to secure a home. What. A. Relief. It was more money than we had planned, but the neighborhood has friendly people with older homes and CHILDREN, a basement, plenty of storage, enough rooms for our family and even filtered water. So grateful to be here. It was not easy getting here, and we knew we had to "believe God" that it would work out, but it sure was HARD. We unloaded with Leeon Jeffs, Gavin and my mom helping, loaded up at Costco, met the snails when the rain came, set up the rooms (boys did their own) and we have worked non stop around the clock to finally unpack...been boxed up since April. It was like Christmas unpacking everything!
