New York City is just awesome. We spent our last and final touring day with our buddies Clay and Logan, we also invited Gavin for the ride. We rented a small car, which saved us money and time traveling and headed to New Jersey to see the Statue of Liberty. She was amazing! Up close and seeing the details of that statue, hard to believe that it came from France so long ago. I couldn't take enough pics of the view or capture how cool it was to be so close to Lady Liberty. We even took a selfie from the pedestal. Ellis Island was also very reverent to visit as we learned of the millions of immigrants that traveled through that station. Sometimes they were not allowed to continue on their journey bc they were sick with disease, then being separated from family, etc. I can't imagine the chaos or confusion (all in foreign languages) and what about food and water resources? Those museums could take days to explore, but we did our best in the 2 hours we had before loading up on the ferry again. Such a neat experience, so grateful we could go.
