Fresno, Califor-n-i-a

Back to my birthplace of Fresno, California.

Jared and I enjoyed a lovely LDS temple session.

It's always nice to return back home to my boys!
Wesley will come back on Sunday, despite his wishes to stay
longer with his "primos." He keeps telling me, "manana" I will come home (tomorrow).

Austin was so adorable tonight as I saw him for the first time in 4 days. Lots of hugs, kisses, wanting to be held and wrestling on the floor. There's always excitement when it comes to eating yogurt and licking the bowl clean!

He looked so much bigger to me tonight than I
remember! Man they grow so fast.

Somewhat stable

We found a house in El Paso that we have made an offer on and the owners have accepted it. So, we are moving forward with the idea that we will be living there in the END of August. That means that we will be HERE in AZ for another 5-6 weeks. That brings bitter sweet feelings for us. Good b/c we love our friends here, the neighborhood and our church ward. Bad b/c we are ready to start our new transition in TX. The Lord sure does put us through a refiner's fire when it comes to patience. We have yet to sell our home here in AZ, although we did list it with a realtor just yesterday. Someone's gotta come and buy this beauty!!! But when??? That is the million dollar question of the summer....lots and lots of waiting.... We are definitely NOT looking forward to the extra $500 a month Property Tax that is ON TOP of our mortgage in TX!

We are going to update the house a bit with flooring, carpet and paint...but that is why we are in DirectBuy afterall! Wholesale prices!!! (not to mention a GREAT owner's discount for us :> )

CHECK IT OUT FOR YOURSELF!!! THIS IS WHAT WE HAVE BEEN WORKING ON! OUR OWN FRANCHISE IN EL PASO, TX!!!

I included our California trip in the blogs today...Stay posted for our new updates on our El Paso adventures...we just came back from there this last week and we are scouting around for a house to call home. I am definitely ready to put down some roots and get to know some of those taco shops on the border! Adios!

Beach Bums

We had no intentions of getting wet at the beach. What were we thinking? Not sure. The moment Wesley saw the water, even though it was chilly, he ran straight for it. Since we had just showered and checked out of our condo, we stripped him down to his tidy whities and he splashed around and chased those scary waves. Being buried alive was the funnest part for everyone, and definitely NOT the cold showers at the end. Those boys had sand up every crevice of their bodies!

Shamu

Sea World isn't anything without Shamu and the "Splash Zone." The boys LOVED getting wet with the salty cold water and seeing a huge whale do flips! The sharks were a little more intimidating, even for Jared and me. I hadn't been in like 20 years, so it was like going for the first time for me. I especially enjoyed feeling like a real "family" as we toted around the sippy cups, blankies ("bibi" as Austin calls it), treats, leashes and souvenirs...The first time for me from the point of view as the "parent" and not the "child" enjoying a theme park. We loved feeding the dolphins, eating cotton candy and finally getting Austin to take his first nap in days!!!

California Dreamin'

A few weeks ago we took one of our first Wilson "Family" Vacations to San Diego, CA. With us were the Pearce family, our dear friends here in AZ. We adventured off to LegoLand where we loved the real-life cities, animals and rides made out of LEGOS!!!

My Early Bird

I have always loved getting up in the mornings. I love the fresh skies, stretching out my legs in my bed and eating a hearty breakfast.Recently though (oh, going on a year now), my oldest Wesley has begun to change my views of mornings.
Wesley has never been a good sleeper. It took him up until he was a year old to finally sleep through the night! He stopped taking daily naps at age 2 (despite whatever I would do enforce it, he would always wake up crying and then not go back to sleep until past 10pm), and has been a stinker ever since~ He hates to go to sleep and every night he cries to not go to bed. When will that change? Has anyone ever known of someone that hates to go to sleep?

Over the past several months though, especially living in the summer months where the sun is up early (4:45am) and we don't have blinds to block out the sun, my son Wesley has been getting up when the roosters do! This morning for example, he got up at 5am and was ready to go for the day. Somehow I crawl out of bed, put on a movie for him, grab him some cereal and chocolate milk and then crawl back into my bed. It doesn't stop there. About 45 min into the movie, he comes yelling back into my room that he wants to change movies and that his chocolatada (milk) is all gone.

By the time I go through the entire routine, just hoping for another 20 min of uninterrupted sleep, I myself am slowly beginning to wake up beyond the point of going back to sleep. This of course all happens while my Jared and Austin are fast asleep in dream world. Somedays are worse though b/c Wesley has been known to also wake up Austin during his morning routine. That does not go over well with Mama!

So, we continue on with our sleepless night, Wesley and I. He wakes up on an average of 5-6x's per week crying in the night for whatever reason (scared of monsters, wants a light, has mocos, is thirsty, potty time, etc). You name it, he has thought of it. He is just as high maintenance as a newborn baby! I hope that he will grow OUT of this stage and learn to appreciate sleep as much as the rest of us do!

In case any others of you are up at 5am, just know that so is Wesley!
