Austin Andrew

My sweet, intelligent, detail oriented, hands on, funny, high spirited, creative and handsome boy Austin. He loves to take pictures around the house of things he builds (including mom's "angry" face). He recently built a "Lego City" inside his closet, with a sign and all. Isaac is his little shadow and he is so patient with him. If anyone is in a bad mood, he will then throw himself into the situation (sometimes hitting himself, using my bottom as a drum or making monster sounds) just to get that person to laugh. He is a great helper (unscrewing my fan apart and wiping down the dusty blades all on his own). He dreams of being in the Army "Yes sir!" He also loves holding Levi and can be found chasing me around the house with Levi in tow telling me that "he wants you!"

Mother's Day in Eagar, AZ

Father and Sons camp out during Mother's Day weekend? That would be ideal...if those fathers and sons actually spent the entire weekend away! Not this year! Jared and Pipa hauled all the boys up the mountain and were gone less than 24 hours! Carol, Dawn and I spent our Mother's Day weekend shopping for a BBQ at Wal Mart, organizing camping equipment, enjoying Pipa's biscuits 'n gravy, church together, and Dairy Queen blizzards. I also got in a 4 1/2 mile jog around the sleepy town, birds chirping and creeks flowing. The boys had a blast, like always, and I guess that is all a mother REALLY wants for Mother's Day :)

Quad City River Bandits

Isaac is the mascot for the "bandaids" as he calls them (Bandits). Jared is the assistant coach, often coming to practice directly from work, still in a shirt and tie (in 95 degree heat!) and I was asked to be "team mom." It's been a good season for our boys to learn how to really swing the bat, catch pop fly balls and enjoy a feeling of sportsmanship on the diamond. I am even liking baseball more, especially since I gave it a try during church softball (that humbling trying to swing a bat, later fumbling to second base and scratching up my knee). It's always great teaming up with the Boley family too since our boys are all good friends.
