Soccer Season

Sweat, water bottles, mohawks, cleats, half time oranges, parents making tunnels, smiles, running, icees and sunshine make up our soccer seasons! This year the boys were on the same Panther team with Coach Mariner and Ruff. Wesley is very competetive and athletic. He loves to be agressive and can be found asking coach right after his playing time if he can go right back in and play some more! Austin loves to run and although he is not as spirited agressive as Wesley, he likes to get in there and kick the ball just as much. Both boys are very energetic, happy and especially love the treats after the game! Isaac and Levi are good fans on the sidelines too.

Levi is getting more sturdy and independent with his brothers. He loves to wrestle them, climb on them and sqwak at them when he wants something. He also has learned to fold his arms during the prayers, at only 14 months! He loves his little buddy Preston when we babysit him and they just stare at each other in awe. He loves to look (and rip up) books, play on my Ipod (and scream if it is taken away) and dance with Austin's large robot.
Jared and I won tickets to the Rascal Flatts concert in Glendale, AZ. How fun to dress up, sing along to the music and to feel grateful to NOT be teenagers anymore!
Wesley was elected for Calibre's Star Student of the Month in Mr. B's 3rd grade class. We were very proud of him and his efforts! He is a very respectful boy and although the class is usually disruptive and loud, he can be found trying to be an example to others.  He also had a fun time at the Raingutter Ragata for Scouts where he didn't win, but had fun.

What the boys like to eat

I was thinking about parenthood and how specific it is to each one of your child's likes and dislikes. Well, when it comes to food choices, I always tell my boys that they have some of my taste buds, and some of Jared's.

Jared likes: quesadillas with lots of salsa and cheese, foods that are "wet," and oreos, Reeses Pieces
Jared dislikes: most sweets/baked goods, candy, tuna, potatoes, bread (unless toasted)

Adrienne likes: pretty much everything, especially sweets (candy and baked goods)
Adrienne dislikes: mushrooms and bottled ranch dressing

Wesley likes: quesadillas, burrito, homemade pizza, all fruit (except plums), salads, Italian dressing, Chipotle BBQ sauce
Wesley dislikes: bread (including all sandwiches; PB and J, grilled cheese, etc), chocolate liquados, cottage cheese, rice and beans together, fish

Austin likes: candy, all fruit, salads, Ranch dressing, "plain" foods (no condiments), spaghetti, lunchables, dry cereal (no milk)
Austin dislikes: melted cheese, zucchini, quesadillas, tomatoes

Isaac likes: dough (cookie, pizza, brownie mix), toddler basics (chicken nuggets, fish sticks, pizza), quesadilla, cheese and crackers and meat and pepperoni (lunchable), popsicles
Isaac dislikes: veggies (sometimes he will eat a bite of salad or carrots), most dinners I make (he will eat the noodles separate or chicken, but not combined), pepper (hot!)

Levi likes: fish sticks, bread, pudding, cheese (very small portion), pizza, chili, liquado
Levi dislikes: all veggies, all fruits (except grapes, raisins, watermelon and applesauce)
