4th of July

Eagar, AZ is our favorite spot to go to for the 4th of July. The hometown feel with the parade, firefighter pancake breakfast, firework show and great weather always take us back. Abu's purple shirts were perfect for our boys! This year Jared and I purchased some acres behind his parent's house, so the dreams are now getting bigger as to what the next few years could be like with a cabin and four wheelers! We visited with our favorite Aunt Flo and Uncle Richard who were also camping in Greer. Why does it always rain when we want to go on their Razor? I had to eat a bunch of their food b/c the belly was starving and I was sick and it was a crazy combo. The rain and thunder was fun to watch too.  "Ranger" the puppy came home with us for a few days, but with my pregnancy sickness, biting Levi, tearing up shoelaces, peeing on the carpet, overall stress level with a busy family and potty training soon (not only the puppy), I am not up for keeping him. We loved him, but it's different here in the suburbs!

Father's Day

With intense morning sickness and nausea, it was all I could do to prepare a yummy breakfast and dinner for Jared this year. Homemade cinnamon rolls, fruit salad, smoothie. Later his favorite chipotle/bacon meatloaf, rolls, veggies and cake. Austin and Isaac were doing a sleepover with Gpa Lowe and so they weren't there for the breakfast. We love you Jared and I can't think of another person I would want to share parenthood or eternity with!  (The next weekend we did a staycation in Scottsdale doing some fun shopping, watching a late World War Z movie, eating out and relaxing by the pool with NO KIDS).

Whole 30 Detox

After 30 days of now sugar, grains, dairy, beans or processed foods, I dropped 6 lbs, toned up and felt great. Had to take a few pics of the results in my face and arms. Then...I got pregnant...and it has all been downhill from there. I have food aversions to everything I ate on the detox! Go figure!

Abu's visit

Abu is back from Argentina! She will be here more long term, buying a car and hoping to travel back and forth to Utah. She is always so helpful with the household duties, sewing projects, babysitting and sharing whatever she has. We love her.

Bishopric

Jared is now in the Surprise 2nd Ward bishopric. It came as a surprise this last week when the stake President counselor came by and extended the calling. I am proud of Jared for this opportunity to serve more people and show some leadership in the ward. He has been working hard on his own personal testimony and faith, attending the temple and fasting weekly for over a year now.  I love him.

El Paso

We took our boys on a weekend get away to El Paso, TX to visit our friends the McGrath's. We loved their amazing carne asados, running in their neighborhood, swimming and remembering what it was like to live there. It's a great little city! Taco Tote was awesome. Jared did a great job reading to the boys and tucking them all in after a long drive home.

End of school

Isaac woke up one day begging for Jennie and for a Jack 'n the Box hamburger. It was funny at first, but then the tears came and he even went to a corner to cry it out b/c he wanted it so bad! Jennie was a good sport and showed up after school to take him on his date. They had bonded when he was only 2 years old  several times when she would watch him during my school days.  Wesley and Austin finished out the school year with straight A's (Principal's list for Wesley all year long) and great comments. Proud of them.
