I love the pictures of a baby's first bath! We did Ruby's in the sink and I think she liked it! I made it a family event, even though Jared was stressing to get to work on time, I made him enjoy the first bath together! She was so slippery and kept gulping in air and water. Levi and Isaac loved it. Her eyelashes are already long too! We continue to love dressing her in bows and flowers and new outfits, even when we have blowouts that go along with them. I am still wearing Jared's tshirts and getting up every few hours for feedings. I really don't mind though b/c I know that these moments are for a short time. I love snuggling with her in my warm bathrobe next to the space heater and taking a cat nap with her (if Levi will leave me alone).

First Week Home
We all can't stop holding, kissing and loving on baby Ruby. Between all her brothers, she is constantly in someone's hands and getting wet kisses on her bald head. Every morning we go into her room and talk about what outfits we should put on her! The boys came over and watched me change her first diaper, and I took that opportunity to explain the girl plumbing parts. They thought she had a lot of wrinkles and Isaac/Levi keep asking where her pepe is. We got some beautiful flowers and balloons from Jared's work, and she is so tiny next to them. The NEXT DAY after being discharged from the hospital, we went and toured the new Gilbert temple open house. I used a wheelchair b/c I was nursing her under my blanket and didn't want anyone's attention. When they did find out what a little bundle of joy we had, and how old she was, I kept getting comments, "you are so brave!" The temple was so peaceful and gorgeous. The chandelier and the huge staircase were amazing. It was great explaining the service that we give there to the boys and thinking about them being there someday together as a family!

Gavin 40th bday dinner
Gavin arrived a week after Ruby's birth and we decided to celebrate his 40th birthday with a dinner. We headed over to Ms Jan and Grandpa Lowe's house and enjoyed a full spread of Texas cooking. We are still in awe at this little girl who has arrived and stolen all of our attention and love. She is so snuggly and tiny and perfect. I just wish her pony dress and wool tights would've fit her longer! She looked so adorable.
