Happy Father's Day! Of course breakfast in bed (pancakes, fruit salad and smoothies). It was fun to share it with his childhood buddy Armando and his kids too. TWO pink lines also made a great announcement. I love hearing the primary kids sing in sac mtg, even if I shouldn't take photos...too cute to pass up! We went to Alligator Aly before our Sunday BBQ and saw some real wild gators! It was a bit scary, even Levi said, "will they eat me?" I love how beautiful Savannah is and all of the swamp land. The green grass, water, and kids hanging out of the truck. so fun!

Bake Visit
Visited with the Bakes this weekend, Armando and Aleesha. We went swimming with the boys, after having gone to Fort Jackson where it was SUPER HOT. We got the kids some pizza and hooked them up with Redox (Penguins movie). Jared took off work 2 hours early, so we picked him up and went out to dinner together to Fiddler's Crab Shack. Jared was so stressed out from work, it was hard for him to relax and be with us having fun. Bummer. We did enjoy the food, visited the River Street Candy shop and walked around till dark. I also got Wes set up for his Scout camp with a physical.

South Carolina Temple
My friend Kersina Nichols, who is in YW with me, took me to go to the Columbia SC temple. We made arrangement with babysitting (I dropped off Levi and Isaac with her hubby, Ruby stayed back with Wes and Austin and after her nap she went with Shelley), and we drove the 3 hours to get to the temple! We arrived and our hearts dropped as we saw that there were no cars in the parking lot. Not a good sign! We knocked on the doors and we saw a sweet brother come out, telling me that the temple was closed. what!!?? no!!?? He then told us that the temple was not open until the evening, but that there were local members doing the cleaning. He invited us to do it with them. You bet! So, my sweet 9 months prego friend and I cleaned up and down, in and out. It was awesome. The Celestial room was given to us and we were able to enjoy that together. We visited with some locals about their sacrifice in attending (going once a month, staying in a hotel and commuting back 5 hours). Kersina and I enjoyed a local pig pit diner for lunch, my first time eating yellow BBQ sauce! Back to the three hours home and we called it a day. Good service.

Destin, FL Day 3
Meet Mr Crab. He made it all the way back to Savannah with us (making our truck smell like rotten tuna for 8 hours!) Austin kept him alive for a few days, but after we couldn't get him to eat, he eventually was let lose. He sure was fun to watch scamper across the sand! More sun on the beach today, more kids having fun and making huge messes. The next day we got up early, drove through Jacksonville where we ate at Costco and let Ruby run loose...and made it home before a huge summer storm blew through. Vacations are awesome and a lot of work, and so glad we went. We missed having Jared around, but I was proud of myself for making it happen and doing it alone! 8 hour drive, packing up for the kids for a week, and everything in between.
