Our sweet boy Levi Ross(er) is 5 years old now. He is in a great stage
of being helpful, curious, aware of his surroundings, excited for
school, can dress himself and make his bed (if he's not afraid of the
dark), loves his stuffed animals, asks "who can I play with" everyday,
loves his Netflix time, sneaks spoonfuls of brown sugar, loves weapons
and "bad guys" and loves to help in the kitchen (especially cookies or
mac n cheese where he pours the powder). He invited a bunch of boys to
his bday party, and also our neighbor Melissa. How cute was that. Cotton
candy, water guns, shaved and chips made his bday fun. We also went to
Chuck A Rama with Abu where we ran into the Candy Bomber, a sweet WWII
veteran who dropped candy vs bombs in Germany. The boys love that
buffet, where they can indulge on anything they want (after they have 2
plates of veggies and fruits). Abu also took Levi out for his bday to
Chick Fil A and bought him a toy submarine. The brothers all pitched in
and bought him Manny, a BYU Stuffed Monkey he had been looking at for
weeks and begging to own. I loved seeing their generosity.

4th of July Parade
What a great 4th of July!!! We were lucky enough to have the Provo Freedom Festival 4th of July on our street this year! Austin, Wes and their buddies in the neighborhood set up camp the night before, pulling an all nighter with movies and games (Monopoly during sunrise). It was weird letting them roam the streets with strangers as everyone was picking their spots to set up chairs and tents for the parade at 4:59am. I didn't get much sleep either bc I was worried about them, and up feeding Rex anyway. How exciting it was to see so many brake lights and people coming through our neighborhood to be part of the awesome parade, all the way up to the new temple even! Abu and Tio Gavin came to spend the day, and we looked at all of Gavin's medals from the Warrior Games. We had fresh cotton candy and icees from the Lambs who had set up a tent in our driveway, we loved all the great marching bands, the Tanner and Haws family sat with us (with breakfast) and I could just go let Rex take a nap when he got tired while the festivities continued! We ended the day with a tasty Fried Chicken Fest at the Asletts house. Yum.
