VBS

Vacation Bible School! Round one was the Trinity Lutheran School where the boys were separated in age groups with the VanZyverdens. Wes went fishing with the middle school kids, didn't love the boys he had to be with (quite bad manners and behaviors), but learned how to stand up for himself and be a strong young man. The others had fun doing crafts with crosses and learning songs about Adam and Eve. I loved the 5 days of free schooling that gave me some free mornings! It also allowed them to be exposed to new beliefs and meet new diverse understandings.  Build on common beliefs boys! The last week of VBS, the Ashton's and I took advantage of doing a few morning dates with our hubbies before losing them again to another work day. We had some local diner chicken/waffles, enjoyed Forsythe Park and just spending time together outside of the Bridgewater plantation.

Georgia Railroad Museum

Day Three, Railroad History Museum. It. Was.Steamy. Hot. We would run from shade to shade b/c the humidity was going right through our clothes! When we would get to the a/c, it would be cold b/c our clothing was so wet.  The kids had a good time "driving" the hand rail carts and Levi even signed in the guest book. There was so much history, science and engineering involved in this museum, I couldn't grasp onto all of the info with all my kids running around...but, glad we went.
