New School, New City, New State, New Year! Wes: 6th, Austin:4th, Isaac: 1st, Levi: Pre-K, Ruby: alone at home! The boys were nervous starting up at their new school, had heard some rumors of it being only a "Mexican" school, so we had to work on breaking up their stereotypes. They had fresh haircuts, some new clothing and each other. I walked them on their first day of school, but it's been walking (or long boarding) ever single day and I love their independence! They often comment how they love that fresh feeling in the morning, teeth brushed, hair gelled, going to school. They are creating memories as brothers and I am grateful that they can stay together for safety and for fun (now if they could only stay on the sidewalk!)

The Y
To be official Provo locals, we had to hike the Y. Wet set out one nice Saturday morning, Ruby strapped onto Jared's back and headed up the mountain. It was a hike! Sweet Ruby did great on the way up, and then was a HOT mess on the way back down. Levi held onto my hand real tight the entire way up and down, and was a great little hiker. Sometimes I felt like we would never reach the top b/c it has so many steep parts. When we did arrive, we got a few pics and scaled the Y down... that part was scary, especially watching Ruby swaying back and and forth on Jared's back. One slip and down they would go! It is great to be active as a family. A few more years, when everyone is grown and independent, just think of what fun things we can do!

Franklin idaho reunion
We loaded up our crew after only being in UT for a few days for an important Lowe family reunion in Franklin, ID. Unfortunately, it was NOT as big of a turn out of people as anticipated. Our children were the ONLY ones there, and besides my immediate family....that was about it. I was bummed to not meet all of these family members I had heard so much about from Cousin Dallas! We made the most of it, enjoying the quartet of instruments, a talent show, homemade food I didn't have to make, nice weather, time with my husband and kids, walks in nature and just having some downtime. Hopefully more people will show up next time!
