Kiwanis park race

Austin and Wes did a district mile race at Kiwanis Park against others in their grade. They did great! Austin got first place and Wes took third, both around 7:25. Granted there were less than 10 runners per heat, but I was still proud of them. Their morning workouts with dad are paying off! It was really chilly by evening time, reminding me that we are NOT in AZ anymore!

La Panaderia

Ruby and I discovered a little slice of heaven, la Panaderia Argentina. We headed over after someone told me about it and immediately I had memories of my mission, las facturas, las empanadas and the language. Everything is a bit overpriced (bc it can be), but worth every bite! Made me miss my mom and I had to go home and call her. This pregnant woman will be returning!

pumpkin patch

If there is a memory from this fall Pumpkin Patch, it's the phrase, "Big Pig!" Once Ruby spotted the huge hog, and her brothers kinda scared her with it...she continues to talk about it months later, whenever she is scared of something else. Having never experienced these places in AZ, the boys had a great time...the corn pile was really fun to dig into and bury yourself, and the hay ride was cool. It was nice to sneak in some well needed family time, since Jared is gone so much.

Spanish Fork Vivint Rodeo

Spanish Fork Rodeo, per Vivint for their employees. It was awesome! Levi still talks about the animals and rides that he rode. We all dressed up in a little cowboy gear, which the boys loved (even trying to bring pocket knives). Everything was FREE...which is amazing for fairs carnivals. No limits for what these boys could ride and do and games to play! It was hot and crowded, but as the sun went down (after a few Johnny Hot dogs), it cooled off and we hung out with the Van Zyverden's. Ruby also experienced her first outhouse. Eek. That was gross for me to squat over and help her. She did great and continues to have no accidents.

school stuff

My three handsome boys at Provo Peaks Elem. Here they are in 6th, 4th and 1st grades. For PTC, it's always so wonderful to hear how they are excelling, even Ms Butler (Isaac's teacher) said that he was the only one in her class that had NOTHING to improve on! I enjoyed doing his crazy hair like a surfer, and he got lots of fun compliments on it. Wes and Austin ran for student council, including a speech in front of the school, making posters and interviewing with the principal...and won! Wes is the 6th grade president and Austin in the 4th grade president. I was thrilled that they BOTH got in. Jared took them out for pizza at the Brick oven to celebrate (I stayed back with the little ones and a tired prego body). Goes to show that even the New Kids on the Block can win against school favs!
