Jared's Bday

For Jared's 36th bday we had a nice breakfast with the kids before school, homemade cards and healthy waffles. It was a rush for 9am church too!I hope he felt loved b/c we sure do love him! After church and Ruby's princess like nap, we headed out to SLC temple square to see the lights with my neighbor Melissa Nickle. The lights were spectacular, and it being my boys' first time, they were really hyper and excited (embarrassingly!) It was SUPER cold and frigid, so we didn't stay longer than an hour, plus with the hour drive home...where the boys were NOT pleasant company (took all we had to not pull the car over and spank them, but we had Melissa and tried to stay calm and use our words + vinegar threats...it.was.rough). We calmed down back at the house, removed a splinter for Levi and celebrated a PB Reeses Cup for Jared's dessert.

Christmas Day

A white Christmas! Lucky us! We woke up around 7am, did our gifts to Jesus (service) and opened up our presents one by one. Some moments were pure joy and excited, others were more simple (like when I got everyone their books). Wes: a new basketball, Austin: yo yo, Isaac: remote control car, Levi: Kevin the minion, Ruby: a play phone, Jared: slippers and winter coat, mom: pjs and boots (they were a size L in Mens, and I cried calling myself a whale...then got over it).  We took the boys sledding at Rock Canyon, more crying from Ruby, but I even went down one time (that was scary but great!). We later took the everyone to see Transylvannia II at the theatre, and although Ruby asked to go poop 4 x's, overall she did great. Tio Gavin met up with us for a few hours in the eve for dinner and the boys were happy to show him everything.
