Levi

Levy is getting bigger and more mature at age 5. He even helped Isaac pull weeds and earned $2, using a big shovel at Melissa's house! He can run 7 short laps at the BYU track without stopping, even though he cries and complains, he can still do it. He does box jumps with his older brothers, runs his bike along side them in the am and does sit ups/pull ups. I am hoping he gets into full day kindergarten bc he is ready! He always wants to play with friends or watch Netflix cartoons (Johnny Test, Ninjago, Big Big World, etc) He takes good care of Rex and always wants a buddy to go upstairs (Ruby) and gets dressed in my room, waiting by the shower door while I get ready asking if I am "almost done?" He does not like to be alone!

Ruby Rabbit

Our sweet "pink princess" loves all things pink, Old Macdonald Pandora station, getting her nails done, hair in curlers, wearing her brothers shoes around the house, putting on my make up and eating toast with butter and cinnamon. Her bff is Camilla Platt, they have a great time going for wagon rides to the church after the lemonade social, sharing snacks and going to the car wash. She goes next door to Maycie Lambs for her sugar fix (loves the Fun Dip!) She loves her blond brother Rex and sometimes gives him love bites. She's afraid of the bear at the Bean Museum, closing her eyes to avoid looking at him (her brothers have teased her too much about the bear, so now it's "creepy") She is my shadow and I love her sweet kisses and interest in being "pretty like mama" (wanting a kiss with my bright lipstick at church so she can have some on her lips too).

Mama's bday

37! It was a good bday. Austin woke up and made me an veggie omelet w diced veggies and onions (it was fast Sunday, so he just sat and watched me eat, including a fruit salad. Sweet boy. What a sacrifice). Church was full of people telling me Happy Bday (thanks to Facebook). Jared made fajitas for dinner. Jared took me out to eat with Johnny and Sarah Tanner for Indian Food (what a great way to start our Body, Mind, Spirit Challenge the night before with that unleavened bread and cream sauces). Jared bought a new Dyson vacuum the same weekend, I got some mixing bowls from Costco, homemade cards from my boys (so creative!) and I got some new clothing for my MPA BYU Program. I felt like a superstar/ executive in that blazer!Melissa Nickle also took me out to Good Thyme for lunch. I took home the nutella filled double choc cookie home  and gave it to my boys. My mom also took me shopping at Kohl's to help me feel ready for school with a few blouses and a white cardigan that we found last minute (and at 11pm) at Ross.

Grandma Joy and Grandpa Kenny

This cabin! Such a heaven for a kids heart! From the swing (Ruby's favorite) from the Oak tree, to wrist rockets, 4 wheeling, fresh cinnamon rolls and bacon, bow and arrow, canoeing and being spoiled with love and attention...the boys had a great time. I loved learning how to make Parker House Rolls with Gma Joy (Joys Buns) and using lots of butter for anything we did. The boys were free to roam around, hike, look at rolly pollys and hope to hit a bunny with the sling shot. I felt such a sense of freedom having my boys be occupied (and usually Ruby if i could hide from her) where I could enjoy being on the 4 wheeler while Rex slept or a little hike in the woods with Chief Indian Jared. Such a great gettaway, and we can't wait to return! I want to be able to provide similar memories for my grandkids, we love our adopted gparents.
