4th of July

July 3rd: A typical Friday at the pool, until we discovered that the only local fireworks would be on display that night! On the 3rd! So, we spontaneously packed up our gear, hit up Kroger for some lucnheables and we all trekked down to Tybee Island to watch the show. It was a bit overwhelming thinking about all we had to get done, but once we got there...so glad we made that memory. When else would we be so close to the beach on the 4th of July! The kids splashed around, we saw a great sunset and enjoyed a picnic. The fireworks were cool, and we headed back to our cars before they ended to avoid traffic. It only took an hour to get home, and Jared had just gotten home by then to help me unload and bring the sleeping kids up the 3 flights of stairs.
July 4th: We started the day of Freedom with a pancake breakfast at our ward, that was cute, and it's always nice to feed my kids away from the apartment. From April, Shelley and I loaded up all 15 kids to go to Home Depot to make little Minion Race Cars, plus they got free hot dogs. More entertainment for free and things to do! After some chores and a nap, Jared was able to get off work by 5pm and so we went to TX Roadhouse for some grub. The kids earned free kids' meals from their library reading program. The food tasted amazing (especially with me being newly prego). We then spent the eve lighting fireworks off with the Vivent fellas and listening to frogs.
