Sundays

Most Sundays I am a frazzled, sweaty, impatient and frustrated single mom trying to wrangle 5 kids for 9am church (and get there on time!) But, I do manage to take some cute pics of these sweet children in their suits.  My favorite part was the other week when Wes got up early to make his "liquado." Not only did he use the same recipe as Jared, but he had the same combover, and then when his hand went into his pocket like Jared...I had to take a pic!  Ruby steals the show with her hair bows and tights, always so fun to dress up. I often take her into the lobby for sacrament, feeding her baby food or sacrament bread...either way she squawks and screams :) It's especially fun when Jared is conducting the meeting and I am playing the organ, then I have to ask help from the ward members to watch over our flock.

First day of school

2014-2015 school year is here! We are lucky enough to have Father's blessings, and this time even Ms Ruby was part of the experience.  We took the time to do them after church one Sunday and we loved feeling the sweet spirit in our home. We picked out new outfits, laid them out the night before (Austin always lays his out with matching socks and undies, Wesley...if he remembers to lay them out..throws them in a pile on the floor). New backpacks, shoes, haircuts and smiles! Ready to go!

Levi started up Ms Carrie's preschool (where Isaac was the last two years). He is thrilled to start up with his friends Chloe and Cruz Costley. I also got Wesley's scar removed the day before, so he wouldn't have to explain what his "thick scar" was to his friends in his new 5th grade class. We loaded up the kids in the back of dad's truck, walked them to their classrooms in the 110 degree heat, took some pics, got some hugs and embarrassing kisses from mom. Isaac didn't look back when he went to kinder! All smiles and ready for the world (I felt a twinge of sadness, but was really happy for him).  Austin bumped up with Mrs Schroeder again (he had her last year too). Lunches now get packed every afternoon, as part of the Zone/chore boards that we implemented, and sometimes Levi will take a quick nap after school.
