Ruby's events

Ruby girl is busy, happy, curious, spoiled and awesome. We all just want to play with her, watch her wrestle dad, squish her, dress her in her new hand me downs (leggings and headbands are great accessories), and talk with her. She loves to say mama/dada , and we think she says "thank you." She can eat a full piece of pizza, loves to go on wagon rides (Tyce Allen is her buddy), begs for food from Isaac at the table, go up and down the stairs (Wes taught her how to go down), play in the Tupperware, practice standing, drink liquados in a syringe, arch her back when she gets mad and still loves those fingers! We are all so in love with her.

Valentine's Day

Going with tradition, had to make heart pancakes, fruit and whipped cream for Vday breakfast, as well as fill out the cards for school. Fortunately the boys were motivated enough to get most of them done on their own, boxes as well, so I didn't have to do much work. Ruby girl kept trying to steal candy from their boxes, which was the cutest thing ever...until I had to take it back from her! Meltdown! I later would sneak some myself and feel guilty for doing so. We went to the MP Vday school dance, hot and sweaty! The boys danced with their friends, Wes hung out in a group of boys around the perimeters, and Jared and I felt pretty old trying to dance with our baby and toddler in tow. Even Gpa Lowe wheeled himself onto the dance floor and sat in his walker! I loved sporting Vday hairbows for Ms Ruby and I also loved my homemade cards/tulips. I of course got some discount chocolates at Basha's! We also celebrated with our neighbors Lindsey and Matt Barker with a candlelight dinner and Honeymoon games. So grateful that we can sneak away at 8pm til 10pm across the street with no worries and no babysitter (except for Netflix and Wes!) The boys complained that there were no real presents or treats for Vday (hard to do with their sugar fast going on), but we reminded them that this is really a "girls" holiday...and they are all boys. Girls get the chocolates, flowers, love notes, etc. They didn't agree.

piano fun

Wes really is getting good at playing piano and finding some enjoyment from it. It's great to have him play for his grandparent's via facetime and seeing him glow with praise. I am not sure how long I will get to teach him until he passes my level, but we are plugging along.  I really enjoy seeing him interact with Ruby (especially b/c it distracts him from his practice time!). She loves to sit on his lap, touch the keys from her tippy toes, and will flap along while he practices. He has been playing for 3 years and can play most of the beginning level hymns! He can sight read and play most of the notes really well, just need to focus on his rhythm and counting. I am proud of him.
