Finally home (again)

So happy to be home as a family! Here is Rex's first day back with all his brothers and sister. Lots of cuddles, prayers and snuggles for our baby. I was SO grateful to have my first nap while Jared took the 5 kids alone to church. I needed to heal up and get some rest after a crazy long week of hospital sleeping. Ruby loved taking a bath with her "babeeee" and I loved seeing his fuzzy hair soft and smelling good.

Bilibaby

My sweet Bilirubin baby! It was hard for me to go back to the hospital, feeling physically tired and raw, but we knew it was best for Rex. Seeing him struggle to get the IV and then not receive any cuddles or loves while under the lights was the hardest. I actually left the room after sobs burst out from watching his little arm bleed with all the pokes. Sweet baby was under the lights for 24 hours and I just sat/slept by his side. I couldn't nurse him, which would lead to more issues with feeding, but we survived. He came out a tan baby! He then got his first dunk of a bath when we got home to clean him from all the hospital germs.
