Running

Grateful list

Day #23:
*Running with a knee brace. What a great feeling to not be throbbing afterwards.
*Oreos and milk.
*Soft scrub that bleached my dirty white kitchen sink cleaner.
*Disposable diapers. I would be up to my neck in poop if it weren't for you!
*Wonderful weather that encourages me to go outside and play with my kids at the park! (Or just watch them and keep Isaac away from all the rocks, ants, garbage and dirt).
*Wal-Mart. Thanks for making things so affordable for me....like a new bike for Jared, or pumpkin pie filling, or shampoo.
*Sweaty boys and baseball games.

Pina

Grateful list

Day #22:
*Pina (pineapple) for .97 that Austin happily waited to cut open until Jared got back home.
*Bike rides with dad and Wrangler jogging alongside us in the neighborhood.
*Grilled chicken with green chile and mozz cheese, grilled asparagus, and Jared being the asador
*Tithing settlement with the bishop. Feels great to be obedient.
*Being with Jared. What a difference it is at home with another parent around to help discipline, teach (especially t-ball, wrestling and not lifting up mom's skirt), and LOVE!!!!!!!!!!

Day #21:
*Public parks where my kids can roam, play, get dirty and sweat
*Self checkout that allows me to avoid long lines (even if it does take longer b/c the scanner doesn't work half the time. Is that an oxymoron? I try to save time by doing it, but it takes longer?)
*Wizard of Oz, that allowed my kids to be entertained for a few moments while I put together a photobook on-line.
*Isaac's peek-a-boo stare when he wakes up from a nap in the car. I LOVE THAT BABY!

Shots

Grateful list
Day #20:

*Shots at the Dr. for baby Isaac to help keep him safe and healthy during our visit to Argentina.
*Snuggles from Austin, especially when he says, "te amo mucho Mama. Mas que todo el mundo."
*Whole wheat pizza, I don't feel as guilty eating it!
*Self-control. I didn't buy the cute black flats at the store, even though I wanted to.
*Shopping carts. Thank goodness for those things! Isaac is super heavy to carry these days, and at least my boys can lay down underneath them as I pull/push them along (and lose my patience).
*All purpose cleaners. So nice to scrub sinks, countertops, garbage cans, and appliances.

Naptime

Grateful list
Day #19:

*Isaac took two naps today....each an hour long! Hoo-ray!
*Legos. After much asking, my boys finally decided to play with them and they were happy for at least 30 min!
*Whole wheat bread, even if my new recipe was a total FLOP. The bread didn't rise at all, so it now seems super heavy and dense. Of course this was a batch I was making for my boys' teachers. Hope they will enjoy it anyway, and now I wonder if maybe my yeast has gone bad? I am still enjoying the bread, and that counts for something.
*Picassa 3.5 and being able to download my pictures for posterity.
*Journaling my boys' lives...catching up on the latest history (our move, Halloween, Isaac crawling)

Park day

Grateful list
Day #18:

*Beautiful weather (in the 80's) and friends at a park. 9 boys in total and 1 girl. Lots of tag, riding bikes, climbing monkey bars and sharing pretzels.
*Late night run to Wal Mart, Sprouts and the mall with April Ashton. Thanks Grandpa Lowe for a last minute sleepover so I could go be free on my "flight" as he calls it. I got a pair of leather cowgirl boots on sale for $60. Feeling buyers remorse, but we'll see if Jared likes them as the final decision.
*Fresh produce! Pineapple, blueberries, zucchini, clementines and green beans.
*Field trip to the farm with Austin's preschool where we held baby pigs, walked the corn maze, rode a small train and played in corn.
*Healthy leftovers for dinner. It's great to eat two meals in a row that you know your kids like, that is nutritious, quick to warm back up and you don't have to think about it! This time: tuna casserole with whole wheat pasta, asparagus and olives. Granted, my boys were motivated by "jello azul" for dessert, but it still counts!

New pictures

Grateful list
Day #17:

*New family pictures to put up on my wall.
*2 extra hours that I was able to spend with Jared b/c he missed his flight back to Cali. We had a pleasant afternoon in Tempe doing some returns and buying Austin a new black hat (that is super cute on his little head. I love that my boys love hats! Accessories!)
* Trailer on the back of my bike to take Isaac for a ride.
*Sharking my nasty white tile.
