Big Boy Isaac!

Mr Smiley has now graduated from preschool! He continues to be sweet, happy and asks lots of questions. When he gets nervous or in trouble, he immediately puts his fingers into his mouth! We are trying to break him of that habit. He is a great older brother to stubborn and demanding Levi, often getting bit or punched b/c Levi can't communicate very well. He is breathing better and he and Austin have really become BFF's lately. I love to see their friendship! Isaac loves to hold Ruby and really is the glue to the siblings.  At graduation he said his favorite food is "fish and cheetos."
Isaac was feeling left out with Austin having cool calendar's and photos on his wall, so Jared took him out individually to buy some fun things to hang up. Isaac loves to keep "his side" of the room very organized, even his drawers. It's frustrating when Austin doesn't put his laundry away quickly b/c it gets 'messy.'
He finished up his coach pitch t-ball season as well, his first time in organized sports. He loved playing with his best friend Titan Ashton, and getting all the snacks post-games. Abu and I have also been working with him to learn to read! Austin also wants to help him tie his shoes before Kindergarten :)

Mets Kid Pitch

We survived another season of kid pitch for Wes. He called himself a "utility" player, usually as pitcher or on 1st base. He wanted to play catcher, but has a great arm to pitch. He got on base several times and hit a few homer's! My favorite was when he ran all the bases, he came out of the dugout and asked Jared, 'Dad did you see that?" He loves his dad's opinion and listens to his every word. Austin, Isaac and Levi always begged for Icee's (from Grandpa Lowe, or looked for money on the ground). Grateful the boys have each other for playmates. Sunflower seeds were also popular. I held Ruby most games and often went home early to put her to bed.

End of the school year 2013-2014

The end of the school year is always hectic and busy, this was no exception. Only the day before did I hear about Wesley's playing the recorder for his MP parent night! He did a great job, hopefully knowing piano notes helped him along the way.  I always love seeing their projects and pictures hung up on the school walls.
With school out, we stick to our Friday tradition of Pizza night. We have been checking out the local pizzerias, and Austin enjoyed some yummy wings! The other picture is of the boys all crowded in my bathroom the first MORNING out of school. I thought I would go crazy with how clingy and bored they were already! We are doing as many swim dates as the boys will let me set up (they get bored at our pool), so the more friends the better. I also bought tickets for summer movies again, even if they are movies the boys have already seen. It's fun for them to go with popcorn from home and sit in the theatre! Ruby did great her first day, I held her standing and Levi clung to my thigh.
My year at Az Charter Academy ended on a high note. By the end of the school year, I was on great terms with my students and we were all getting along well. I might even say that I think about them once in a while and care about them! One student told me, "I hate Spanish, but I really enjoyed you as a teacher." Pretty much sums it up.  I even took Ms Ruby to her first school dance concert there. She fell asleep, but I dream of watching her perform someday!
