Bilibaby

My sweet Bilirubin baby! It was hard for me to go back to the hospital, feeling physically tired and raw, but we knew it was best for Rex. Seeing him struggle to get the IV and then not receive any cuddles or loves while under the lights was the hardest. I actually left the room after sobs burst out from watching his little arm bleed with all the pokes. Sweet baby was under the lights for 24 hours and I just sat/slept by his side. I couldn't nurse him, which would lead to more issues with feeding, but we survived. He came out a tan baby! He then got his first dunk of a bath when we got home to clean him from all the hospital germs.

Nickle family outing

Melissa Nickle, our friend and neighbor, and her family had the boys over for the day. They live over by Utah Lake and treated out boys to a great day with BB guns, movies on a projector screen, treats and lots of attention. We had the boys make Thank You cards and cookies in return.

One day at home

I was home only one small day before returning back to the hospital for Rex b/c of high jaundice levels. My emotions were pretty raw and I was emotionally drained (and sad) thinking about him being sick and needing more care. But, before we headed out, we did some family things. My mom arrived straight from Argentina after her husband Oscar passed away a week prior.  We celebrated Ruby's bday (Tio Gavin also was there), had a quick diaper shower with my sweet friends from the ward, took many pics, got Rex circumcised and passed him around for as many snuggles and kisses that the boys wanted to give him. But...back to the hospital we went.
