Georgia! We love all the "new" signs for peaches and historic landmarks. The red dirt, old barns and fruit trees are beautiful. We drove into Savannah early evening and was warmly greeted by Shelley VanZyverden and her family. We are on the third story apt, which makes it interesting when carrying loads up and down stairs (or children). Once we finally got inside, Shelley fed us dinner and then we needed to get to a WalMart for groceries. We traveled to a far away store, only for a HUGE thunderstorm to then find us. It was now 10pm and we were drenched as we entered the store, not to mention tired and ready for bed! I had to use the clothing off the racks to keep my kids warm! Thank you women's pajamas and towels for drying off my baby! But, it was Sat night and we HAD to buy food for tomorrow since we had nothing. $500 and 2 hours later, we left, grateful for the basics to fill our pantry. The boys have helped us get settled in and set up.
